ALL ATHLETES interested in Track & Field need to register online! All the info is on the track portion of this website. Your physicals and DragonFly info MUST be up to date to participate! Official practice starts 1/13.
Congrats to our girls who got 8th and our boys who placed 9th at State this past Saturday!!! Tristan was 12th overall while Abi was 31st overall to lead our teams. BOTH teams have been invited to the prestigious Meet of Champions - the first time we've had BOTH teams invited!!! Congratulate our kids when you see them. They've worked so hard this year.
For the first time since 1997, our varsity girls are Gwinnett County Champions!!! Guys took 2nd in a close call; overall program finished 2nd in the "Gwinnett Cup" - the highest finish in program history!
Parkview uses a website called DragonFlyMax (www.dragonflymax.com) for physicals, contact information, etc. If you've gotten a physical this semester and plan on particpating in XC (or any sport), I would go ahead and register for an account and follow the directions. Our school code is VWLLH8. ALL athletes must have a physical (they're good for a year), and all athletes must be on DragonFly in order to participate. You can find our physical form here: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/sportshub2-uploads-prod/files/sites/2019/2018/03/27145918/GHSA-PPE.pdf
I'm VERY excited about the number of future Parkview runners we could have! This upcoming XC season looks to be a pretty special one for us as we return a ton of talent on a boys' team who finished top 10 at State and a girls' team who narrowly missed qualifying but returns 9 of the top 10. We had a lot of young talent last season that has been rapidly developing since then and has been carrying the momentum through this track season. We'd love to keep the momentum going, and that means YOU! We don't have a future without you guys. I very much look forward to working with each and every one of you.
